Wide Stance
Gay, gay, gay, KangaBlabba, KangaPolitik, Photography, SchoolStuff, Shenanigins Add commentsThese are some of the images that I used in my ‘Wide Stance’ project - poking fun of and exploiting/exploring the issues brought up when Senator Craig of Idaho got busted for soliciting sex in a men’s restroom at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport. There’s a whole lot about the story, so Google it or check it out on Wikipedia..
But he claimed he wasn’t soliciting sex after all, and that his toe-tapping was actually because of his ‘Wide Stance’ thus began the project…
Some of these images are probably NSFW, so click at your own risk

I’m caourious to know how this project went over with your instructor. I remember from one of my photo classes as an UG that there was a guy in the class who had taken photos of his bf cock and the instructor I had was horrifed and didn’t know what to say.
I tend to be a bit more liberal than most of my colluages and a few years ago I had a student do some controversal photos/ads that were similar to an ad campign calavin Klien had ran in the mid 90s were he had models in provocative poses shot against a wood pannled basement so it kinda looked like porn from the ’70s. I used it as way to introduce controversal artists like Mapplethrope.
