Ladies, Gentlemen, Those-who-do-not-go-by-gendered-honorofics;
The end is nigh. The end of the SCHOOL YEAR that is. This has been the least-stressful semester thus far at ASU – and yet I find myself having nightmares and being so physically tired that I almost find it difficult to have my evening drink. Almost. I’m probably going to get one of those things this summer. You know. The thing that starts with a J and rhymes with Bob. As much as I enjoy being a gentleman of leisure, I’m going to need to get out of the house on a regular basis in order to maintain sanity. (Which is a difficult enough task on its own.)
Additionally, my friends, the end of the Year of the Bunny is drawing to a close.
Yea and verily, I am crestfallen and full of woe to relay unto you, my dear readers, that it was but nearly 11 short months ago that the Year of the Bunny began at sundown on Wednesday, June 8th with a haboob, some beer and Night of the Lepus. This has been a year of tremendous bunny activity, so counting down to June 8th, 2007 I will occasionally go over some of the leporidaen highlights of the past year. I shall also reveal some new material, and – most excitedly – officially designate the new year, beginning sundown June 8th, 2007.
I am most excited.
41 days 17 hours 55 minutes until the Year of the [censored] begins!!!!

So tonight ended up completely different from any way I would have imagined it! We started off with the usual round of text messages of “what are you doing tonight?” and “nothing, u?” kinda thing. This of course eventually led to me at the bar – which is a good thing. We started off at Amsterdam and then finished off the night at a new bar called Burn. So much naughty dancing fun with Cookie and Emitt that I probably shouldn’t even say anything about it. Of course there was the usual amount of yummy-delicious eye-candy that I kept staring at… …especially this one guy who was wearing ear-plugs and was shirtless and scandalously dancing… yummy.
I’m definitely going back to Burn.

I’m very proud to be an Arizonan right now:
Anti-gay marriage measure loses in Arizona
By Bob Baum- Associated Press – Nov. 8, 2006 06:36 AM
Voters in the historically conservative state of Arizona have become the first in the nation to reject a ballot measure banning same-sex marriage.
Twenty-seven other states have approved anti-gay marriage ballot measures, including seven on Tuesday. But by 51 percent to 49 percent, Arizonans voted down Proposition 107, which would have amended the state’s Constitution to ban same-sex marriage.
The deciding aspect may have been the broad reach of the measure.
Same-sex marriage already was illegal under state law, but not as part of the Constitution. Proposition 107 would have barred government entities – such as the state, cities, counties, universities and school districts – from recognizing any relationship similar to marriage, such as civil unions or domestic partnerships, in providing benefits to their employees.
This is such wonderful news – I voted against a similar measure when I was still living in Kansas and I’m glad to be in the first state in the Union to reject such a proposition. w00!!
But the work isn’t done kids – just because the Dem’s have the house and may tie with the senate doesn’t mean things automatically get better. There’s still lots of shit to do as far as US Foreign Policy, Tax Cuts, Health Care, etc.

Yesterday was funness! James was graduating from his stylist academy, so we can no longer call him a beauty-school drop out
He had his graduation party at Macayo’s Depot Cantina which is a Mexican restaurant near downtown Tempe. Highlight of that portion of the evening: drinking my (watered down) drink from a monkey-head shaped cocoanut! It also doubles as a coin-bank… The Biltmore Manor posse arrived and Aaron recounted his tube-trip down the Salt River – quite the adventure, almost made me wish I’d gone too
After that Mike, Aaron, Emitt and myself squeezed into my clown-car and headed to Burger Betty’s, formerly known as Hamburger Mary’s. It was $3 long island ice teas and karaoke. Three guesses what we did there… Since it had been raining all night long there were large puddles everywhere, so I was a gentleman and carried Aaron in on my back so that she wouldn’t get her toes wet (who wears flip-flops when its raining, really!) Carlos G showed up, Aaron recounted his Salt River story for the 18 bazillionth time (SOS) and we had ourselves a little cocktail party and made snarky comments about people singing karaoke. I kid you not, the second song of the night was Dancing Queen and I can’t even recall the number of songs from Chicago that we all sang.
After finishing off our second round of Long Islands (for those keeping count for me, that’s 4 beverages) we piled back into the cars, this time Aaron riding with Carlos since the back seat of the Clown mobile isn’t necessarily the most comfortable arena. Off to Amsterdam! It was still raining so all the mens was crowded inside, making it hot, sweaty and just the way I like it! Cocktails were obtained from the porch, in the rain, because the line was MUCH shorter. I don’t like lines that much you see. We met up with James, Paul, Auston and David and helped James celebrate his graduation a little more.. somehow in the evening I was tricked into going into the dance area where I proceeded to get my groove on and get as many cheap-feels from Carlos as possible. **angel smiley**

Today was the first day of classes at ASU for the fall semester. 18 hours this semester.. my eariliest class is 11:40 AM
BUT I also have lateness because of this.. On Wednesday I potentially will not get out of class until 9:40.. the Yuck.
But here’s my classes this semester:

- Art History 494 – Medival Manuscripts
- Art 113 – Color
- Art 204 – Photography II
- Sociology 341 – Modern Social Problems
- Film 494 – Special Topic: Gay Identities
I am super excited about Medival Manuscripts and Photo II. I’ve got roughly two months to work on a portfolio in Photo II so I can present it on Oct. 15 and hopefully get into upper division classes and continue with my primary major.

Tonight we had a CRAZY thunderstorm, like the kind when I was a kid in KC. Power was out in half of Tempe and the streets were flooded just about everywhere. I drove to pickup Jeremy on campus and then to go to dinner, and it took 30 minutes to drive 1 mile. GROWL. Oh well. Emitt came over to hangout cause his power was out.
End.
