I decided today, whilst showering before heading to school, that when I graduate from college I will move to Australia, and tour it via motorcycle.

I like
TOOL. I’m not as much of a fan of
A Perfect Circle (same singer/writer) I still like them. But anyway…. I am listening to TOOL right now (Ænima). The best way to describe their music is dark-metal - if you’ve EVER seen a TOOL video, they’re very dark and odd. Anyway - I need to listen to aggressive music right now. My communications class is driving me INSANE. It’s like I’m at a summer camp for kids with low self esteem. Today we talked about self-concept. We (and no I’m not exaggerating) took a piece of notebook paper, wrote six words on how to describe ourselves and then she walked around gave us each a piece of tape and we had to tape this piece of paper to ourselves and walk around the room and let others see what we wrote while reading what others wrote about themselves.
Here is what I wrote:
Funny
Understanding
Creative
Kinetic
Youthful
Original
Unstoppable
I am reminded of something someone once told me in an American History class. I don’t know if it is true or not.. it really doesn’t matter. I guess the Spanish Conquistadors used to grab native babies, and swing them by their feet and then bash their heads into trees. (Obviously, this killed the baby.)
Between classes, she plays music. Today’s selection was Phil Collins. To make matters worse the ADHD Asian kid wanted to see my iPod - so I had to take my earbuds out and listen to both him AND Phil Collins.
For Monday our birkenstock-wearing professor wants us to bring in a poster board covered with stuff that tells everyone about us. We will sit in a circle and share this information with everyone else in the class. I am sure at some point, at least one person will cry and that we may all break out in song.
I wish I was one of those babies.

I motored to the
Overland Park Arboretum this afternoon to shoot some film for my photography class. My poor fingers got numb as I was walking around, but I think I got some decent photos. I only had 100 speed film for the camera today, so they were all full aperture/slow shutter speed. None of that is especially interesting. What I thought was neat was as I was wandering around on the paths, I look off to the right and I was standing about 20-30 feet from two deer! Luckily I had my nice zoomy lens on the camera so I hope I got some nice shots.

Sorry I haven’t been writing much lately - call it a lack of interesting things to say. I am trying to restrain myself from constantly bitching about my Interpersonal Communications class.
William and I are having fun in our Weight Training class - we are BOTH sore as hell after this weeks workouts

But we aren’t the only ones. Tuesday someone passed out, and today one of the girls had to sit down and take a break. It’s really cute seeing all the 18yo boys trying to show off. My 27yo ass is busy taking it easy so I don’t kill myself

~I’m hoping to fall from grace~
~talk me down, safe and sound - too strung up to sleep~
Hi.

Friday night was fun - we went to The Olive Garden for dinner (I need to find a new Italian place for Will and Timmy to like cause I’m getting tired of TOG.) Brandon (cutie) met us there along with Christie and Joe (who helped us move in a few months ago). We dined then headed back to our house and then all the other peeps started to arrive for Timmy’s birthday. We had fun, drank, and played Uno and Trivial Pursuit, 90’s edition. It was good time

(But I was very tired).
Saturday I hung out with Brandon and we watched most of the 1st season DVD’s for the TV show
Las Vegas. The main cutie in it, Josh Duhamel is MUY CALIENTE.
I need to shower. I smell like IHOP.

My weight training class is going to be a hoot. My instructor is either from Romania or Hungary. Its hard to understand what he says. hehe. The only other new class I went to was my Advanced Photography class, and the teacher so far seems nice. He wants us to use fiber based paper, which isn’t so bad but its just fussy. There are a lot of other kids in that class that sound like they take their photography very seriously so I am a little bit intimidated

Oh well. There is one kid in there who has some really neat tattoos so that’s fun. We got out early from that class because he said it was such a nice day (60º in January is exceptionally nice).
Today is Tim’s birthday, so Will decided to take part of the day off and surprise Tim. Of course Tim went to the bar about the time Will left work. These boys need to coordinate a little better. It makes me slightly irrational. Timmy is having his friends over tomorrow so I think I am going to visit Side Kicks with Brandon tomorrow and say hi to Danny for his birthday, then head back here and drink at home where the booze is already paid for and I can get as drunk as I want and I don’t have to drive any where

Day 1 of the new semester was fairly decent - my Chem II teach isn’t going to be as fun as Dr. McKown from last semester tho

My Cultural anthropology class should be fun - I think our teacher is an old hippy tho.. hehehe. I know someone who is in that class tho - an old co-worker of William’s so I feel a little better about it

(It also means I am not the oldest student in the class either! ha!)
My communications class is going to be a touchy feely share your feelings and hug AA kinda thing I think. She’s definitely a hippy too.
One thing tho - JCCC decided to kill about 1/4 of their parking this semester, all of which is around the area where my communications class is. I am either going to have to get there 1/2 hour early and hunt for a closer parking spot, or I am going to have to get there 1/2 hour early and park in the main parking lots that still have room. On the other side of campus. *spit*
Today: Chem II, Beginning Weight Training (YES I have to take a PE class.. laugh it up) and Advanced Photography.
