So apparently the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences thought “Million Dollar Baby” was a good movie since they gave it a lot of awards.

So how come I had never heard of this movie before tonight?

I am supposed to be writing a paper for my Anthropology class, but I am having a total brain freeze on how to start it. Instead I write here where, more often than not, I have no brain freeze that will affect my GPA.

Yesterday I hung out with Patrick and Shawn and we watch some reruns of Americas Next Top Model (season 3). Patty had to leave to go have dinner with his family, so Shawn and I went down to the Plaaaaaaza and walked around and looked at stuff. I even went into the Apple store and talked with someone at the Genius bar about the funny noise my computer makes. I was SO happy that I went into The Gap, Banana Republic and The Apple Store *ALL* without spending a single dime! I even got drunk-dialed by my mom while I was down there! Later on we met up with Alan & Andy for some Mexican food down on SW Boulevard at Sol Azteca. There Andy revealed to us his hatred for three words: Bling, Crunk and some other word I cannot immediately recall into memory (we had a 60oz. pitcher of Passion Fruit margaritas between the four of us). Of course I used bling and crunk as often as possible until Andy gave me The Look of Death. I shared with the group my hate of the word strive. I dunno what it is about that word but when I see or hear it, all that comes up in my mind is someone kissing another person’s ass.

What words that are commonly said do you hate?

Romie (dark fat one) and Mr. Bigglesworth (poofy orange one) were playing this afternoon and I managed to catch it with my camera. Normally what will happen is one cat will pin the other, and the one with the advantage starts licking the other one. These cats are totally gay.

I am getting to the point of desperation with my chemistry class. I got one of the homework assignments back this morning. Five problems worth two points each: one point for showing the work, one point for getting the right answer. I got 5 points. I seem to be OK with the math up until the last few steps then I screw something up and blow the answer.

Then today we started talking about pH scales which is all about logarithm’s so you can go from numbers like 1.00e^-14 to -log₁₀(1.00e^-14) = 14. So I see this and I’m like CRAP. So the chem teacher hands out a new homework assignment and tells us we have a quiz on Monday. I’m starting to see these as opportunities to fall further behind, instead of opportunities of advancement. So I’m bummed out. I have until April 15th or so to drop and not get an F on the old transcript so I’m gonna fight it out. Sucky thing is, I need this class to meet graduation requirements since my Biology class last semester doesn’t count towards graduation requirements. That doesn’t mean I wont be able to transfer to ASU like I want to, it just means I won’t have an AA when I go.

…something I forgot to mention in my last post. Last Tuesday after my veight trainink class, I walked back to my car and noticed I had acquired my first door ding I’ve had the car almost TWO FULL YEARS without any door dings and some fuck wad at JCCC had to give me one

Sad, sad kanga.

Oh kids.. Kanga has been having a rough week. Wednesday night I was supposed to be out the door NO LATER than 6:30 p.m. to go to Patrick and Shawn’s to carpool with them up to Never Never (stop the car, or have your doors unlocked) land (Independence Ave.) to watch the last episode of Project Runway. I started my online homework for chemistry at about a 5:45 and did not finish it up until 8:45 :( I was so pissed off by the time I got done with it I felt like this.

But I finally made it out the house, and up to Alan & Andy’s in time to watch Wendy Pepper get DISMISSED from the show, and to see the super funny and fabulously talented Jay win! Kara was second runner up, and I am sure she will to well also. I TiVO’d the episode so I can watch it later

Figures.. I get an email from my Photo teacher, and class is cancelled today. This is when I finally actually have something to work with for it. *oh well* I am gonna go visit Mike down in Lburg and play with his camera toys and hang out with him for a bit.

I’m getting very frustrated with Chem II. I understand the concepts, etc. But I get hung up on the math of it all. I can barely remember anything from my college algebra class.

It’s going to be a fight just to keep up this semester… I get the feeling I will be spending much time in Office Hours with my Prof. in the near future. Like, 11 hours from now.

For those non-believers out there - I have proof!!

I got this lid after a series of really bad things this morning…

..walk up to your chemistry class - see everyone reading their notes - realize you have a quiz in 5 minutes.

..realize you left the notebook you had all your notes for a test in at home.

I felt mildly psychotic today.

A hungry cat does not have a snooze button. Hiding under your blanket will NOT make the CO detector stop beeping. Do not fall asleep listening to your iPod with your glasses on. If you wake up in the middle of the night screaming it is most decidedly NOT a good thing. If you wake up two hours after that talking, it is not as bad, but still not necessarily a good thing. Put away the iPod. Avoid taking prescription medications before you go to bed, especially Lexapro.

Yesterday I went to Borders to visit Lee and to buy the new Scissor Sisters DVD. On my way to Borders I stopped in at Super Target and managed to spend almost $100 :O I did find something that I will have great fun with on for St. Patrick’s day tho. Later that evening I met up with Patrick, Shawn, Andy, Alan, Brian, a friend of Brian’s and then Brian’s boyfriend (coughJERKcough). We had dinner at Uno’s on the Plaaaaaaaaaaza and after dinner we headed over to see Constantine. It was a fairly decent movie. My favorite parts were Gavin Rossdale playing Balthazar and then when Satan showed up at the end. Today is mostly homework and relaxing. The cats have all been psychotic today but I think they are all mostly settled down for some snooze time. To the left is how my big fuzzy monster looks right now.

I wish I had something more profound to say, but right now I’m feeling pretty blah. Hopefully as March and warmer weather approach I will start feeling better.
