Its official!!! The First National Bank of Mom has issued a Spring Break Gasoline Grant (SBGG). I will be using the SBGG to motor my way to the Kansas City Metro area from Phoenix. 1200+ miles each way. I’m going to take a ridiculous amount of camera equipment and take pictures along the entire route. Might take me two days to get there, but I’m gonna have fun.

On the way out, I’m going to pack some camera goodness and visit the Canyon de Chelly (the last word is pronounced like “shay”) and take pictures. It will be a 50-70 mile detour, but it is someplace that I have wanted to visit for some time, and it will also serve as taking care of an assignment for one of my classes. Yay cultural learnings!! I want to visit Chaco Canyon as well, but its a bit far-out for me to get to when I have so much further to drive, and I don’t think it is a ‘MINI’ appropriate drive either - mostly unpaved roads. Eeeps.

I’ll be staying with my peeps Patrick and Shawn (and their dog Leroy). I’m VERY excited about Tuesday night, since we are going to the Scissor Sisters concert!!!! YAY!!! I’m also hoping to get some time to motor in to Lawrence and see some old co-workers, etc. hehehe.
